Do you have a great idea for a webinar?  You can either work through your division to develop the content or submit the idea on your own.  This is a new and exciting initiative for SNE and we’re looking for great topics.  It’s easy to submit your idea:  review the process and then simply complete the submission form.

Weight Realities Resources

The SNE Weight Realities Division hosted a webinar with the support of the University of Wyoming for SNE members.  Federal Obesity Policy: Finding Ways to Promote Health at Every Size took place on December 2.  The presenter, Joslyn P. Smith, is a Senior Legislative Assistant in the Public Interest Government Relations Office of the American Psychological Association (APA).  In this role she is responsible for the legislative portfolio on eating disorders and obesity prevention.  During her presentation, Joslyn discussed ways in which her office is working to bring a Health At Every Size (HAES) perspective to discussions with federal policy makers and agencies related to obesity policies and initiatives.
