for Nutrition Education The primary purpose of SNE’s Public Policy Program is to make recommendations on member identified priority public policy issues (e.g., Child Nutrition Reauthorization, Food Guide Pyramid, and Improved Nutrition and Physical Activity) to Congress, the White House and government agencies. By 2010, SNE will establish a plan to expand the purpose of SNE’s Public Policy Program to include building the advocacy skills of SNE members.
