Society for Nutrition Education (SNE) represents the unique professional
interests of nutrition educators in the United States and worldwide.
SNE is dedicated to promoting healthy, sustainable food choices and
has a vision to be recognized as the premier organization for food and
nutrition education professionals. SNE provides forums for sharing innovative
strategies for nutrition education, expressing a range of views on important
issues, and disseminating research findings. Members of SNE educate
individuals, families, fellow professionals, and students, and influence

Board also reconfirmed and simplified the goals of the Society into two
main statements:
1.) To elevate the Nutrition
Education profession.
2.) To grow and maintain a dynamic society that serves members and the profession. Identity
Statement
SNE is an international organization of nutrition education professionals who are dedicated to promoting healthful sustainable food choices and who share a vision of healthy people in healthy communities. Our members conduct research in education, behavior, and communication; develop and disseminate innovative nutrition education strategies; and communicate information on food, nutrition, and health issues to students, professionals, policy makers, and the public. SNE members share ideas and resources through our journal, newsletter, annual conference, and the members-only listserve. Our Divisions offer networking opportunities for members with similar interests and expertise.
