Please review “Tips for Writing Abstracts”.

Abstract must be no more than 250 words (not including title or authors, but including all other content). All abstracts must include any funding sources. It should be the last sentence of the abstract; for example, “This project was funded by NIH.”

Please keep title short and appealing. Please make sure your lines are text-wrapped rather than return-ended and that there are two spaces after each period.

Be sure to save your abstract as a text (.txt) file before copying and pasting into the submission form. This will ensure that any special characters you may have used are accurately submitted.

More than one abstract may be submitted per author, but each abstract must be completed on a separate Abstract Submission Form.

Oral and Poster submissions should not have been published or presented elsewhere prior to the annual meeting.

Authors must prepare abstracts as noted on the Abstract Submission Form section.

Submissions must be received by January 18, 2008 to be considered a Standard Submission or March 1, 2008 to be a Late Breaking Abstract. For more information on Late Breaking Abstracts, go to Types of Abstracts.

Late Breaking Abstracts submitted without the $50 handling fee will not be reviewed.

The Abstracts Review Committee will review and select abstracts based on the judging criteria listed under Presentation Type. Presentations will be grouped according to topic based on key words.

The contact author will be notified no later than April 1, 2008 for Standard Submissions and April 30, 2008 for Late Breaking Abstracts.

Presenters (both oral and poster presenters) must register for the annual meeting and are responsible for all registration and personal expenses related to the meeting.

Authors are responsible for providing a substitute presenter if the author is unable to present.

No materials for sale are allowed at any presentation.

Authors are encouraged to consider the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior (JNEB) for publication of papers based on presentations at the annual meeting. However, acceptance of an abstract does not guarantee acceptance by JNEB, nor does rejection of an abstract indicate that it would be unsuitable for publication in JNEB.

If you have any questions, please contact the SNE offices at 800-235-6690 or send an email to info@sne.org
