2008 Call for Abstracts

 

The Society for Nutrition Education invites authors to submit abstracts for presentations for SNE 2008. SNE continues to provide high quality educational programming for food and nutrition educators. Abstracts are welcome in any area of nutrition education, including those that incorporate the conference theme Celebrating Food, Family and Cultures.

 

The 41st Annual Conference will provide attendees with strategies and tools for, Celebrating Food, Family and Cultures in the ever changing world of nutrition and health. We invite food and nutrition education professionals and students from all arenas to contribute to and participate in the Conference.

 

All accepted abstracts will be published in a supplemental issue of the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior.

 

SNE is an international organization that advances the food and nutrition education profession to impact healthful food choices and lifestyle behaviors at the individual, community and policy levels. SNE offers opportunities for members to share best practices, evidence-based knowledge and diverse perspectives. SNE members share a vision to be recognized as the premier organization for food and nutrition education professionals

 

Paper-free submissions : Instructions for the 2008 Conference abstract presentations are available online at http://www.sne.org/conference/types.htm. Download the SNE 2008 Abstracts form and submit your completed abstract on-line by Jan. 18, 2008.

 

Late-breaking Opportunity : To accommodate research and programs that can't be concluded in time for the January 18 deadline, we will accept late-breaking abstract submissions from late January until March 1, 2008. Late-breaking abstracts will undergo peer review just as the standard abstracts. A $50 fee will be charged to cover additional processing costs. Late-breaking abstract presentations will be scheduled on the last day of the Annual Conference, or earlier if the schedule permits.
